Following a previous brain haemorrhage, Khalid H. Khan spent two weeks in the hospital before passing away on Tuesday. He left a widow and four daughters as his heirs. Khalid H Khan was well-known in the cricket community for his superb coverage of Pakistan's domestic matches and his conversations with numerous young cricketers who thrived there before joining the national team.

Famous cricket players and writers have paid respect to Khalid H. Khan in memory of him. Former national team captain Rashid Latif described Khalid as a wonderful person and a diligent reporter. Few people have I ever seen work so earnestly. He and his family are in my prayers. Shaun Masood, the opening hitter, also expressed his condolences for Khalid H Khan's passing.
